My Last War is both a unique and ambitious visual novel. People looking for something different from the usual will definitely find that here, and I think it deserves more attention for that fact. While I believe the VN is worth checking out, it's entirely up to the reader whether they'll find it to their tastes or not. The feeling I got is that I think it's the type of game where you either love it or hate it. So you will just need to see for yourself. As for me, I just appreciate people experimenting with the medium. And also using the medium to tell more ambitious stories, such as ones that touch on history and philosophy which My Last War touches on quite a bit.
